Exit è una scultura in lamiera di alluminio accartocciata che - come dice l’artista - “si spacca al centro in una ferita attraverso cui irrompe la luce. Exit da ‘ex eo’, andare fuori, nascere, partorire, è metafora della vita e della morte, del continuo passaggio dalla luce della città alle profondità del ventre di Napoli”.
Exit is a sculpture in crumpled aluminium sheet metal, that - in the words of the artist - “has a split in the centre, a wound through which light breaks. The word Exit derives from the Latin ex eo, to go outside, to be born, to give birth - it is a metaphor of life and death, of the continuous passage of light from the city to the depths of Naples”.
